Michael Hinkel founded [hinkel:stone] in the year 2004. Our aim is to provide good value consulting services, and software as well as web development solutions. To accomplish this an alliance of independent consultants, developers, and content managers was formed, to provide flexible and customized business solutions.

Some of us have had nearly 20 years of experience in software development and computer administration, going back to their early teens with the famous Commodore C64. We are specialized on rapid development of desktop and client/server solutions based on Microsoft® Windows platforms. Recently we have gained additional knowledge of the Java enterprise world with JBoss as well as the IBM WebSphere Application Server. Our services include analysis (OOA), architectural design (OOD), design reviews, trouble shooting, coaching, and implementation. In addition, we provide content management, maintainance of websites and web design.

Our clients range from retail trade stores to universities, and the banking industry.
